Apologies for my absence!

Hello all!

Sorry its been so long since I’ve updated this musty spider-web ridden blog, but I thought I’de ressurect it. It’ll make it a bit easier to keep people updated on my school work. I find myself saying “You should totally check this piece I’m working on!!!” then realize if I kept this blog up, I could just send them a link. Kinda the reason I started this thing.

Anyhoo, hopefully more work to come soon. Ive got some actual pages I’ve been working on (I know, actual comic book pages? on a blog about sequential artwork? who figured) which should be up shortly. It may be winterbreak before I get those up, but we’ll see. If I dont update this beast soon, happy Thanksgiving! I know I’m already preparing for my self induced turkey coma. I’m friggin pumped!

This is my favorite from Fantasy Illus. so far. We had to design a cereal box cover based off the series of illustrations called “Cereal Killers”. Its a kind of toung and cheek sense of humor mixed with horror. Most of my ideas were based off of strange names like “Mysterious Goo Goo’s” or “Zombo’s” or “Sugar Frosted Slashies”. Finally, seeing as my teacher didn’t like my origional idea, I decided to go with “UFO’S”. Hopefully you guys like it too!

Next Fantasy Illustration project was based off the idea of a fight scene. Our teacher gave us slips of paper for the weapons; mine said lamp. So, running with that idea, I thought of fighting cave creatures, like vampires. Then my classmates suggested I make them shadow creatures, and I loved it. This is what I ended up with.

Sorry I havent put up anything in a while, but I’ve been bogged down with school and life and whatnot. Speaking of which, heres some stuff that I finished for my Fantasy Illustration Class. This project was based off the subject of a “future gastation”. I just thought it would be interesting to have a machine that ran off of ruins.

Home and ready to start up SCAD!

Ive been home for a week now, and I have to say, California was great but nothing beats home. Having a great time right now, and I’m starting up SCAD in less than a week. Aparently, I got an A for my time out in LA working for platinum, and they said the door is open if I ever want to come back. I got everything I wanted out of that internship. Well, I think from this point on I’m going to change up this blog, and keep it going with SCAD updates and whatnot. I’ll keep you guys informed!

Almost Done!

I have a little over a week left here in LA…I cant help but think that time has just flown by while I was here. Ive met new people, gotten to know an awesome new city, and did alot of great artwork! Its sad though…most of my new found friends are co-workers at Platinum. Right when I think I’m starting to fit in, I have to go back to school. Dont get me wrong, going back to SCAD for my senior year will be great, but I’m going to miss my LA buddies. Maybe I’ll come back out here for a job at some point, who knows? Anyways, even though its a little sad that I’m leaving, I cant wait to go home, relax, then start school back up.
